Hi all, I plan on being in the Charleston SC area next week. I've seen some of the other posts about fossil hunting near where I am staying and I plan on going to those sites and tours. Anyone have any tips in general? Or places near Charleston that are worth visiting. I'm going to be staying at Isle of Palms, which is right next to Charleston. (If this has been posted before and I just looked over it a link is also much appreciated.)

Make sure to stop by the Mace Brown Museum of Natural history downtown! We have the largest collection of South Carolina fossils on display anywhere. Admission is free and we're open every day but wednesday. Here's our unofficial webpage:
