Odd ichno ?

Rockwood

These seem to be traces, but have an odd assortment of characteristics. Found in lake shore glacial float. Most likely Tarratine sandstone,a Pragian marine delta related formation.

Any thoughts ?

I have done no research and am not familiar with the formation, but it looks like an ichno to me. As you may know, burrows are not uncommon in shallow water deposits, such as deltas and shallow lakes or seas.

Looks plant-ish, to me - especially in pic 3.

I was thinking the same thing as Tim. The whole piece looks to have scattered plant bits.

That would explain why it looks more like debris than a community. The victims of a flood  that were washed out to sea perhaps.

Thanks guys.
