Here is another oddity (to me) that I found in my garden.

Any ideas about this one ?

My guess is bivalve

Probably the extern cast of a shell, i don't know wether it's from a bivalve or no. The identification would be easier and more precise if you could give us your location.

Thanks for welcome, very kind of you.

I found this in eastern West Virginia, US.

My elevation is about 900' on a small ridge.

Mostly shale, but bordering on Chert rock. Very hard limestone I suppose.

Here are some features in the hard Chert rock.

There's very little of it right where I'm at, but as the ridge gets higher, it is more prevalent.

In the third photo it looks like as if you had a very worn terebratule brachiopod. But i'm not sure.
