Miocene_Mason
The second picture is a scute. 1 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Fossildude19
The second picture looks more like one of those pesky ironstone concretions. The 4/5 pictured item does look like a piece of chimaeroid jaw - possibly ratfish. Wait for a few more opinions, though. Pretty productive day - congrats. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." wt080262
It does kind of matter, since the game wardens have told me and others that you are only allowed five. But I didn't mean to offend you, I was just wondering if things have changed since last time I was there. It seems like some of the wardens allow some people to do what they want. We were there several times and saw guys using big shovels and big sifters and they didn't say anything to them. We asked them if they had some sort of special permit or something and they told us they didn't. Seems like we should all play by the same rules. Anyway that's NJ for you "Do as I say not as I do". Good luck on future trips.
