chris c.
Hoping someone can help me determine if this is a dinosaur egg?
ynot
No it is not a dino egg. Looks like a broken concretion. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Fossildude19
Hello, and welcome to the Forum. Your pictures are a bit dark, but, I think you have a concretion there, and not a dinosaur egg. If found in Michigan, I am positive no dinosaur eggs have been found there. Regards, EDIT: Cropped an brightened the photos. snolly50
It's an intriguing object, but several features point out it is not a dinosaur egg. Not the least of these is the thickness of the "shell." Dinosaur eggshell is much thinner. It is best discribed as a concretion. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See
doushantuo
Agreed.Gaseous exchange would have been impossible or at a physiologically useless speed through that.Any embryon would have died in there. The cloacan muscles would have had to have been pretty awesome as well But keep looking! And welcome to the forum
