Not sure where you might have already been, but you may just want to get on google earth and look for "feeder creeks" or tributaries off of the Sawmill Branch Canal system. If you're going to be in town for a while, I am a tour guide with Charleston Outdoor Adventures off of Folly Beach. We offer beach fossil hunting tours and never come home empty-handed.
