mediterranic
Hello, Anyone knows the ID of this fossilized wood? It was found in the Western Sahara. Thanks in advance, Miguel My Academia.edu profile - My About Me page
ynot
There has to be very good cellular preservation and then You need to cut it with and across the grain to see the structure of the wood to get an id, 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." So, it's fossilized wood, by now. Thanks Miguel My Academia.edu profile - My About Me page

Thanks Miguel From what I see in the photos it's not clear that this is fossilized wood. Is it from an area where it is well known to be found ? Is it from an area where it is well known to be found ? Hi, @Rockwood, nothing is "well" known in Western Sahara. That's the true. Information is filtered, trips are followed by true and false authorities and, when leaving the only main road you continue thinking in terrestrial mines possibility. Those, like other fossils, were found near the road, on the surface. I don't known the formation. And everything is dragged by the uninterrupted strong wind that blows from the sea. But it seems petrified wood. It seems. In the same are there were pine cones and small ammonites, if that helps. 1 My Academia.edu profile - My About Me page
