doushantuo
Abstract from Harzhauser/2008. "Strombus coronatus Defrance, 1827 is considered a nomen protectum, and the cerithiid Strombus coronatus Ro¨ding, 1798 is demonstrated to be a nomen oblitum in accordance with the ICZN Article 23.9.1. The Late Miocene to Early Pliocene Strombus coronatus Defrance is shown to belong to Persististrombus Kronenberg & Lee, 2007, and its relation with other Neogene strombids is briefly addressed. A lectotype for Strombus coronatus Defrance is designated."
FossilDAWG
Welcome to the forum! I just looked at your gallery, you have an exceptional collection (speaking as a fellow lover of shells). Don
Paololitico1972
Hi Don, thank you very much, you're very kind. I've been collecting molluscs since I was a kid. Unfortunately in these outcrops, now it is no longer possible to look for fossils (actually natural park).

In my specimen are still present the original colors of the shell ;-)

My collection dates back to the 80's and is regularly denounced :-) Currently all sites are geological reserve
