New to Fossil hunting. Need Help Please?

Hello.

 

I am quite new to fossil hunting and would like some help.

I am going down to Beaumaris next week to go for a fossick. (The fossils you can find there are from the Late Miocene to Early Pliocene)

Can anyone give me some tips on how to look for fossils effectively and what I should be looking for?

Welcome to TFF!

Some people will search the exposed gravels of the river or beach while others will use a 1/4 or 1/2 inch screen to search for snark teeth and other fossils in places like that.

It would help You to search this forum for fossils from that site.

I am sure some of the Australian members will chime in with better information.
