Anthonyp
I'm just not sure what this is.I have a friend that said its a crinoid stem .. but this doesn't look anything at all like a stem that I can see about it. Can someone id this please? I see what appears to be legs on this on both sides. I've found stems before but I've not ever seen this if it is a crinoid stem... ¿¿¿
TqB
It looks like the internal mould of a crinoid stem, like this, (from Deposits Magazine https://depositsmag.com/2017/04/04/folklore-of-fossil-echinoderms/ ). But also can't rule out cephalopod from those photos. What size is it? 1 Tarquin

Anthonyp
The one in the bottom looks a lot like what I have. I'm just not used to seeing a crinoid stem in this manner. So I wasn't sure what it was exactly. I found this in southern middle Tennessee. I found it in a river called the Elk River in Fayetteville Tennessee. This is a first find of a crinoid stem for me in this particular way. Ive found the other types of this before. Where they look like Indian beads but never found one like this before. Thank you for the info..

Anthonyp
Thank you both for the help. Fun find completely accidental find I wasn't even looking for anything like this, but it stood out like a flag waving in my face. So I picked It up.
