shel67
I uncovered this strange formation down in the water of Post Oak Creek in Sherman, Texas. Any ideas of what it may be?
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. This looks geological, to me, rather than fossil I am, admittedly, unfamiliar with your area, however. Wait for some local opinions. JohnBrewer
I'm leaning towards geological but if a rock it's a pretty cool one that I'd be proud to have. Ive brightened the images a little. John Map of UK fossil sites

BobWill
You can find septarian concretions in the Post Oak so this may be a heavily worn one. If you live in the DFW area you might bring it to the Dallas Paleontological Society meeting Wednesday so some actual geologists can have a closer look. Details here: https://www.dallaspaleo.org/ There will be real paleontologists present too but most of us are amateurs and the public is welcome. shel67
Thank you so much for your help, Bob! I just looked that up, and I do see the similarity for sure! I would love to attend one of the meetings in the future.
