Should I get it?

I was scrolling through eBay when I saw this specimen but I don't know whether it's real because I might consider getting it. It is a Discosauriscus.image.jpeg.0e8736ecc6d1ad31a48caf3c843f9b80.jpeg

Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).

Provenenance?

D. has quite distinctive cranial ornamentation.

Also, pits for electroreception/lateral line system might be visible*,if sufficiently well preserved

*On the nasal and (Post&pre)frontal

Edit: the person posting below me is right,I take it that pic is lifesize?

To me ,it does look like a discosauriscid seymouriamorph,in any case

What is up with these dinky pictures?

How can We enjoy a fossil that looks like it belongs on the head of a pin?

Haha! my scale was a bit messed up?

My *new* work computer is running Windows 2007?

I'm a terrible person?

Althought 20cm in length it fits on the head of a pin?

Is that enough excuses? :P

Edited with a slightly larger photo :P

@indominus rex

I just found the one you posted on our favourite auction site.

It is listed with the same location as mine. Boskovice Furrow, Czech Republic.

It is a closed location and these can no longer be obtained.

It is worth noting that mine was verified by 2 separate parties (aside from the seller whom is also a very knowledgeable forum member) and they both came to the agreement that mine was from an older collection based on the preservation and rock it was in. Both of said parties have personal experience digging this guys up so I highly value their opinions. This could account for the variance in appearance, but the others that I was shown while researching mine I do not remember being that dark of a fossil.

More than a "bit".

What does that have to do with anything?

No You are not!

So it is a big pin.
