Cretaceous ,seed - Hell Creek

Out at a hadrosaur dig site and came across this seed. Can anyone identify it? Thanks for looking!

I don't think there has been much actual scientific work done on the seeds of the Hell Creek and Lance Fms.  They are pretty common in the gray mudstones.

Bummer. We are currently digging in a site just packed with plant material including palms, meta sequoia, what looks like elm, pine, willow and more. I hate not being able to identify things.

Maybe you could plant it and see what sprouts :wacko:

You might do a google scholar search for anything by Kirk Johnson.  He has done a lot with the leaves of the K/T boundary, including the Hell Creek in North Dakota.  Maybe he has some info on the seeds in there.

SLIGHTLY reminiscent of Polyptera.

Maybe Juglandacean?
