Does not look like bone to Me. Looks like a chert nodule.
It has the wrong texture and the overall shape does not match any bone that I can think of.
I tend to agree, for whatever that is worth.
We can all agree on one thing: there is a superficial similarity to a bone .(e.g. bulbous condyle-like at one end)
Where was this found?
Also, what is the size of this item?
I agree that it does not look like bone texture, or morphology.
Its obviously Chertus bone-i. Ok, just kidding. Looks like a funny shaped rock to me.
The whole rock is the same color, it's just a chert nodule, shaped into a bone like shape, like the others said.
Was hauled in from a riverbed not exactly sure from where. Thanks
