Whale or Dolphin - Gainesville, Florida

Recommended Posts

Last one for today. This was another find in the creeks of Gainesville, Florida this weekend. It's 1.5" long and looked a little like a whale tooth but not sure what type. Any guidance would be hugely appreciated.

@ynot Tony, you really don't see a cetacean tooth? I do, be it a poorly preserved one. Sadly I can't get more specific.

Edit: possibly a type of long beaked dolphin.....?

Yeah, I guess You are right.

(I am not so good at identifying mammal teeth.)
