Hey forum, i'd like to share my new arrival

I wanted a large prepped fossil to add to my collection so i was very happy when it came in the mail today.

8.25 inches, 3.3kg

This ammonite has had some restoration of the inner whorls but still looks great i think. It's from Agadir, Morocco

Here are some pictures

That is a nice ammonite.

EDIT I guess not a good ammonite, but a crude carving. I should have looked closer, thought it was just a crude prep job.

Hi,

I have the same opinion as the Caterpillar.

I also have to agree, unfortunately.  I hope you can return it and get your money back.

I'd like to link the auction from which i bought this from to someone who can take a look.

It does state restoration of the inner whorls, and the seller seemed very reputable.

Hope you used a reliable payment method, paypal or something similar, that is one of the most blatant carvings I've seen in a long time.

Is this totally a carving, even the outsides? I'm very saddened to hear this. I used a well known action site so paypal yes.
