Hi all, Want to share something I saw on a creek bank. Are these foot prints or just natural formations?

I think the bottom part is Austin Chalk, the darker, sandier top is Ozan? Which where "foot prints" were found.

Those are most likely natural (water-worn holes, i could go into the science of how they occur but anyway). This is backed up by the hundreds of other holes that definitely aren't footprints. They will, over time, get bigger due to the same circumstances as the other "footprints". There are many other reasons, but its not really necessary for me to explain them.

I don't usually sound like this D:

Agreed. This is a common concept. One has to be careful about not discounting evidence (the non printlike holes) that tend to disprove what you would like to believe.

ahhh.... didn't have high hopes they were actual footprints. Thank you both for the tips.
