Jekyll Island trips before Summerville

Next week I'm headed for Summerville to hunt for megs, and this week at Jekyll I'm getting a small taste of the toothy joy that is hunting at Summerville!:meg:

This is the first of possibly multiple trips to the shark tooth beach here on Jekyll Island. Got some pretty nice things, too!

Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.

I think my favourite from what I got here is this nice Galeocerdo;

Also landed my first (presumably) fish vert. I've never seen one here at Jekyll, so this is a nice surprise (although I can't get a very good pic of it :blush:);

This tooth is Galeocerdo, a tiger shark.

Oh really?

Never heard of that. Thanks for the correction!

Nice finds, good luck:)

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!
