fossilized6s
I do not see a bone. Possibly just limestone. A bone this size would be from a type of megafauna or dinosaurian, but these are extremely rare in Illinois. It's more of a chance to find Pleistocene megafauna, but it's still very rare. 2 ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
Xiphactinus
Doesn't look like bone to me. More like a chert concretion, which would be more likely given the Illinois location.
Miocene_Mason
I'm no type seeing a bone either, limestone or chert. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
