DrDave
It is lovely but tedious work prepping this sort of thing with just a metal brush, water, soap, and a sharp carbide tipped pick.
erose
Bryozoa can be difficult to ID even to the genus. There are quite a few known from the Hamilton Group. You would need to find all the listed possibilities (start with J. Hall's early lithographs) and then, after ruling out as much as possible, possibly have a short list to consider. And then you truly need thin sections in multiple directions to actually get close. IF YOU ARE LUCKY there will only be a few possibilities to choose from. I have SO MANY bryozoa from the Cincinnatian and when I am lucky I can come up with a few good guesses at best.
