dodo4
I am so happy! From now on, my posts will feature the famous photo cube by @aerogrower ! Thank you Ray! (Am I using the cube correctly?) I will post three different sets of teeth, all found walking the beach near South Ponte Vedra, FL during the last 4 years.
Fruitbat
From left to right... Tooth 1, Tooth 2, Tooth 3 and Tooth 5 are all horse lower cheek teeth. Tooth 4 is a horse upper tooth, possibly from one of the Hipparion-type horses. I can't tell for sure from the pictures if the protocone on Tooth 4 is isolated or not. -Joe 3 Illigitimati non carborundum Fruitbat's PDF Library
Macrophyseter
I agree with Fruitbat. They look no doubt like horse teeth. Nice finds! 1 If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
