I found a very nice variety of items while hunting my new favorite creek. I think the formation is Eagle Ford. I found a nice ammonite bed that I"ll start checking after a good rise. I had to leave the 50 lb + ammonite until I can get a boat or raft in there to float it out 2 miles. The old US military button was my favorite find of the day. The button is 1902 or later but still very old and makes you wonder how it ended up there? Two of the shark teeth are pretty big.

:envy:

looks like a great hunt! Hope you can bring back that ammo, maybe clean it up a bit.

Awesome finds. That old button is very cool.

Wow that's a big ammonite!

I think I would have trouble leaving it behind and would have probably risked an injury trying to haul it out. :P

Nice finds Jarrod that button is cool. I found one of those a few years ago in Hunt County. It does make you wonder.

Epic indeed!

On leaving them behind pending preparedness; I left one Ammo out there once for more than a year...Could not stop thinking about it...that it would be gone, but by the time I got back out, the attendant matrix that made it so heavy mostly sloughed off.
