Thank you for the pictures, how far off the beaten path was this?  I didn't get to travel too much in the open countryside when I was in France.  Looks beautiful.

Just the idea of combing a French hillside for tiny ammonites gives my mind peace. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments, caldigger it is a difficult drive on a one way road in the Hills(i still remember when a big 4x4 came in front of my car and i had to drive back in a tiny hole in the cliff)and walk one hour in the hills after that

aptychus, ammo and Jurassic fossil wood ,speed limit on the way back :)

That last picture reminds me of New Zealand. A common site on country roads...

Wonderful photographs.

Wow, @nala!  That is some gorgeous scenery, and I love your ammonites!!!  My husband and I will be going away for our 10th anniversary in 2019, so maybe we should go to France so I can work in some fossil-hunting while on holiday...I may have to contact you later on to get some information on where to go (if that's okay with you).

Thanks for sharing!

I heard that some of the tastiest lamb in the world comes from France. Maybe even as good as New Zealand lamb?
