Unidentified jurassic find

Yes, I have had a short holiday near Ravenscar.

Here is another item.

I'm hoping that someone can tell what I have here.

Its from Ravenscar, (Robin Hoods Bay end) North Yorkshires Jurassic coast.

The area yields ammonites, belemnites and marine bivalves.

Not quite sure but the second photo looks like a cross section of a somewhat crushed Pinna shell. You get very large ones (over a foot long) in the Jamesoni Zone at that end of Robin Hood's Bay, often in beds with bioturbation (trace fossils) which would explain the appearance of the first photo.

Thank you,TqB, for being so patient with a rank amature.

Would this one be the base of the same thing. I saw a lot of long fluted traces in that dark crumbly rock which were impossible to pick up without them crumbling.

It might be, hard to tell from your photos. You should be able to see fibrous shell structure where it's broken.

(No patience needed, we're glad to help.:))

Here's a typical one from the same beds:

No I've been working on my hydroplaning, I've got a good coach:
