winnph
I found this on a beach on Puget Sound the other day. The parallel grain caught my eye as possibly petrified wood, but there are tons of various jaspers and agates and such on the beaches here, so it's hard to be sure. I took photos from a couple angles after I'd sanded a couple faces lightly with sandpaper. Thoughts?

ynot
Welcome to TFF! I agree with a non fossil rock. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." winnph
K, thanks everyone! I actually joined almost a decade ago and lurked for a couple years without posting, then kids got in the way of hobbies like rock/fossil hunting for a few years. Now, the kids are getting old enough to join in the hunt, so I'm back!
