elcoincoin
The bad weather gave me time to spend some time classifying. so i spent some time on my albian stuff. Everything has been self collected (surface collected) over the years. Everything is also small, so i chose the screws cases to store them. Everything can be seen on a dedicated galery on TFF : here or in higher resolution on my flickr : here 8 cases... So here we go Ammonites : (3 cases) then crustaceans (2 cases) : Other inverts (2 cases) : And last one : vertebrate remains I hope you enjoy it. that's all for now. Miocene_Mason
Nice display! Nice finds as well, well worth the years it must have taken to find them! “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason

Wrangellian
Nice job. I see you've labeled the digital photos, but how do you label them in reality (the actual item)? Do you trust that foam to last for years without degrading?

PFOOLEY
Lovely collection, @elcoincoin ...of all these creatures, which is your favorite to find? I just printed the digital file and put it in the case. For the foam, not a big deal since i will have to resculpt some when i get new top pieces. Although the cases got a cover and i dont intend to move thm alot so im rather confident. Last point, i also took individual pictures and galery with all the relevent infos. I still we able to use them if need to ID them again. On 01/09/2017 at 6:28 PM, PFOOLEY said: Lovely collection, @elcoincoin ...of all these creatures, which is your favorite to find? The one i dont have yet from the systematic of the place... Must be missing 1 or 2 crabs species More seriously, the first few crabs stunned me, i had no knowledge about the fact they could be found there. And despite, my first few ID attempt had been more or less erratic (some might still be wrong!), they are still my favorite.

I enjoy the ammonites you post but have been in awe of the amount and quality of decapod material you find! Thanks for sharing it.
