Nice Keichousaurus! Looks real as well, which is more than can be said for most!

Happy hunting,

Sweet Matt,  It looks gorgeous!!!. Tell me what I am looking at -- where did it come from,  how old...

Unfortunately for me, my fossils are of a different type...

Shellseeker it is a  Keichousaurus.  It came from china. It wasn't a cheap buy. Its 100% real.  I believe its around 300 million years old if my research is correct

300 Mya is Carboniferous.  Keichousaurus are found in the Triassic (Anisian - Ladinian ~240 Mya).  Congrats! :fistbump:

Awesome gift! Even better that its real too, considering how many fake keichosaurs there are out there.

Btw, I think it would look even cooler it you framed it with a casing exactly the size of that slab

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Nice gift...

Instead of the cotton balls, you could go to a fabric store and buy a chunk of soft cloth, there are various types and I think colors, you have to look around and think about what type would look best - and lay it in the back of the frame for a more uniform background.
