however this could be wrong, so best to wait for a more experienced forum member to id this piece, regardless nice structure to it and nice find.

For starters, it's definitely a caudal vertebra. The centrum is easily idenfifiable as such due to the large articular surface on the bottom on one side where the chevron would attach. This large articular surface is on the back of the vertebra. This large articular surface also reminds me a bit of those on crocodiles.

 

It looks like there might be some repair or fabrication. That longer lateral process looks a little suspicious. The dorsal process also looks a little odd. Some closeup photos of those areas might help to determin if those parts are natural or that they might have been altered.
