Fossil help

Hello I found this recently and would like to ask for help in identifying what it might be I think it might be a tooth but not sure ?? Thanks matt

I believe it's a piece of banded flint - interesting stuff that has an annoying habit of looking like a fossil that no-one can quite identify...

LOL. Too smooth to be a trilobite. If it was a trilobite it would win the record for the most worn out trilobite ever to be discovered. :trilo::faint:

Ill have to agree with banded flint. It reminded me so much of a mastodon tooth, but then I realized that the texture is too smooth and solid to be bone material
