Pmueller
Hello new to The Forum I found this fossil a few years back in a lake in Northern Missouri on a rocky area on shore it's a little over an inch long rounded. kind of looks like a tooth but really just do not know what it is. I would love some help with an idea of what it may be. Another photo Photo from the top
Virgilian
It's a nice example of a rugose solitary horn coral. The rugose corals went extinct at the close of the Paleozoic Era.
ynot
Welcome to TFF! Agree it is a horn coral. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
