DE&i
Struggling to i.d. these two gastropods while rehousing them in a new box, this is the note that was left inside the original box by the owner of the fossils. Any help would be appreciated as to their identity. abyssunder
Hi there! I'm wondering if the first one couldn't be a Neptunea species. Maybe Neptunea lyrata ? If I'm not wrong, Neptunea is present in the Pleistocene Red Crag. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. DE&i
Thank you @abyssunder Neptunea lyrata seems to be a likely candidate. Taogan
Looks like Spinucella tetragona to me, or it could be another Spinucella species. http://www.fossilshells.nl/grbrplei05.html

abyssunder
Hmm. It is very tricky. Maybe it's Nucella, as Coco said. Possibly Nucella incrassata? comparative picture from here " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
