Backgrounds for Fossil Pictures

I am always looking for backgounds to use when taking pictures of various sizes of fossils. A while back I was walking through my local home improvement center and I walked back the paint section. There I noticed all of the different sizes (8" by 10", 4" by 5", 3" by 3") and colors of swatches, and they are all free for the taking. If you ever have an issue with glare when taking pictures, try a different color swatch.

Neat idea!

When taking pictures of fossils it is best to use a neutral color that contrasts with the color of the fossil.

I agree- you would like these for pics of STH fossils, especially when using a digital microscope, helps cut down on the reflective glare.
