Possible petrified apple

This was found years ago by my mother in the Ozarks of Missouri in southeast Missouri, on the st. Francois river. Has been around me since I can remember. Any help would be appreciated.

I have Native American club heads that look just like this.  I believe they came from Oklahoma.  That's what I think they are.

Here's a photo of one of mine.  Looks like yours may have broken before they finished making it, so they discarded it.

Here's the link.  Go to page 3 and scroll down to the link for the inch-mm scale v6.pdf file.  Sorry, you have to print it out yourself, but the instructions should be fairly clear.  If not, let me know.

Concentric rings are characteristic of concretions. 

Sorry, not a fossil apple.

Apple or not, ( I certainly dont think apple), I want one of those TFF rulers, but dont have a printer.  Dang!!!

  Not gunna happen ynot, but there is already person going to copy it for me and mail it to me.  I hope she lets me pay her for her trouble.
