Pixpaleosky
Hi, I found years ago this (probably dinosaur) bone in cretaceous beds located in Southern France. These layers contain dinosaur, crocodile and turtle bones. It is about 8 cm / 3 inch long Would you have any idea oh what it is ?

ynot
I am of mixed opinion on this piece. Can You take some close up pictures of the surface? Also some pictures of the ends, please? Innocentx
This has the look of spongy bone material. "Journey through a universe ablaze with changes" Phil Ochs
fifbrindacier
Could you be more precise in your location ? That should help, moretheless if you can get the brgm's notice of that location because according to the different layers, they give a list of the fossils that can be found, even if non exhaustive. Pixpaleosky
yes for sure it is bone. It is dated from Maastrichian of Provence area and is damaged because it deposited in a river. Other pictures would not help because the other sides are even more damaged. It seems this one will remain unidentified Edited August 22, 2017 by Pixpaleosky
