Can You please give more information-- Location? Age?

Also can You take pictures without covering the vert?

My first impression is a cetatean, but age of fossil may change that opinion.

@SalomonAssissel

I've merged your two posts. :)

No need to have 2 different posts for the same item.

Sometimes it takes a while for our experts to chime in. ;)

With the Eclipse happening today, the Forum may be a bit quieter than normal.
It is not unusual for Identification to take a few days. :)

Some patience is required.

One fairly good way of determining age is in knowing the geological formation it was found in. If that is not known, it may be a good idea to collect other fossils at the same level of the strata in the event that one of them might be what is known as an index fossil (i.e., typical for a particular formation, and not appearing in other strata).

You can see if there are any geological maps of the area where it was found. This should be able to narrow down the age for You.
