IS this a fossil? if so what?

Found 21st Aug 2017 on Kimmeridge beach Dorset UK so late jurassic era. Hello, and welcome to the Forum. :)


The rock isn't a fossil in and of itself, but I do see what looks like a small shell fossil near the bottom edge in the second picture. :)

Looks like some shale with a bedding line, could be split if you so desire.
