Ludwigia
Pic 2 distinctly shows corals. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
fifbrindacier
Agreed, coral on pic two. 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Miocene_Mason
The other rock is a sedimentary rock with some sulfide mineral (probably pyrite) inclusions which are pretty. Some nice detailed corallites on that one specimen, nice find! Keep looking for those fossils, they are definitely there, just hiding. 1 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
ynot
I agree that the first rock is a hash plate with corals. The second rock looks like a piece of schist with some possible garnet crystals. (small black and reddish spots). Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
