Something I found, stuff all together

This is something I picked up walking in a park about three years ago, and I felt it was Something, but Just Do Not Know What.

Any guesses? Any stab at it would be a help!

Sorry, but you need to put this object more into focus before it's possible to judge anything about it. A bit more information about where the park is and perhaps a bit about the local geology would also be of help.

Try taking the pictures outside in natural sunlight, and back off of the subject a bit. :)

I agree, photos in daylight, using the zoom is better to have a good focus, the location of the park is important to know the age of the layer and then to get a good identification.:)

OK. Here's some photos in focus. I'm thinking the area this is from is Pennsylvanian. In Illinois. (The "Lincoln Cent" photo is a bit of a joke---I saw a thread here about using US coins as size references, and ran into a 3-inch souvenir when grabbing this rock).

Sorry, i cannot enlarge your photos when i click on them. I think you have ichno fossils (traces of fossils) and infilled burrows.

Could you take more closer pics of what detail you want to show us ?
