Extremely colorful restored megalodon tooth

Hi Everyone,

This is one of my favorite restorations mostly because it was so difficult to match its unusual colorations. That makes it all the more rewarding in the end because it is a very unique looking tooth. It was also a lot more incomplete than I am used to in teeth I restore. I just felt that it had such cool colors I had to restore it. Here it is:

Wow, really did match that color, nice job!

My only problem with the restoration is that the restored part is much too shiny and shows a clear line between the restored and the authentic parts. Other than that, that's an absolutely lovely restoration.  Amazing job!

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

I had the exact same feeling about this tooth when I made this. But I made sure to put it in the shadowy part of my display so that you can't tell at all :)
