looking through some matrix tonight and found what looks like a claw.

It is roughly 1cm long.

Matrix comes from North Texas Eagle Ford Cretaceous.

Any ideas? Thanks as always for help.

It definitely is a claw. I can't tell if it's a fossil or not though....really tough to say.

Seems small for that. Under 1cm but have only a couple of turtle and one dimetridon claw that I have ever found so this is new one for me. Thanks.

I don't think it is curved enough to be a bird claw. 

Not sure what else it could be, though.

Yes, but such bird claws are typically more slender (less robust), and with a less pronounced muscle attachment 'knob' on the proximal end.
