Fossildude19
This looks more like a Moroccan Otodus to me. Not up on my shark tooth identification, though. Maybe some of the Shark Tooth guys will weigh in. Neat score. Macrophyseter
Yep, unfourtunatly thats an extremely common otodus tooth from morocco. I dont think scaps have been foind there yet, and their teeth are much more smaller, thinner, and pointier. Scaps are goblin sharks btw, so their teeth are much similar to their modern relative. Plus, they are mostly found in the states. I still hope youd enjoy that biggie meg tooth in the right edge thou If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM! Miocene_Mason
when I go fossil hunting, I'd rather find that sized otodus then a goblin! “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Macrophyseter
For me, its the other way around (jk, thats for mini otoduses) If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM! I've read that it became extinct just before the end of the Cretaceous.
