I found this in a marlstone mine when i was hunting fossils.Could this be a wood fossil stuff or something else? Let me know!

Iron staining or concretion I believe.

I'm not sure, but it does look like one. Iron seeps into sediment (you can see this in rivers with dirt sides) with water and as the water leaves, the oxides glued the sediment together.
