Miocene_Mason
Welcome to the forum from central Maryland! It is a nice crocodile tooth! “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Macrophyseter
Agreed with croc. Such a nice one too. I also find it cool that the enamel has been ripped off the top part of the crown and only exists on the bottom part, make the enamel look like a root. If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

sixgill pete
Could we get pics from all angles of this tooth. including straight down onto the end of the root. it is possible it could be something besides croc as play suggested. sixgill pete
There should be no problem attaching pics to you post. You may have to downsize them if they are over the limit. Anyways, I looked at the photos and I think you have a croc tooth with part of the root. Very nice.
