Where to buy compartment slides?

Recommended Posts

HI all,

You know those neat microscope slide sized microfossil containers with partitions inside to hold dozens of little fossils? I think they are covered with glass too and have a black background.  Where would I buy such a thing? or is it easy to make them?  Your thoughts?

I see a lot of people make them from scratch using cardboard because it is not static.  Maybe its time for me to get out the paper punch and poster board and try this...

Google Paleontological slides.  Look for Lakeside Microscope Accessories.  They have a variety of slides available.  Or you can make them.

Jkfoam - I called Lakeside (they have no prices on their web site) they want $77 for a box of 100 compartment slides, $75 for 4 circle pocket slides, and $60 for 100 metal clips.  They wont sell a lower quantity, so I guess you have to be pretty serious!
