While going through some old trip buckets, I found this at the bottom. I had initially picked it up because of its interesting appearance but forgot I had it. 

 

As far as ichnofossils go, it is a neat one with all its tangled parts, culminating in a kind of "mop head" appearance. I don't generally pick up ichnofossils, but this one was a notable exception.

 

These are formed when organisms such as worms repeatedly burrow into sediment.

This is a nice specimen. What formation is it from?
