Megladon tooth? Lake Huron.

Hello and  thank you,

My 8 year old daughter seems to have found a possible Megladon tooth in Lake Huron. If I am correct it seems to be worn down considerably. Any comments are welcome. I wet the pronounced ridges for camera view.

Thank you Mike

Neat looking piece, but I don't think the geology of your area has any Meg teeth. It looks geologic to me, and sometimes nature likes to throw us a curveball. ;)

Sorry, but as other said, that's just a pyramid-shaped rock. There are always rocks that somehow come to shape like fossils, and if you can only use the general morphology of the thing, then it's more likely just a rock. But keep finding thou, and maybe you might get a 7 incher!

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
