Can Anyone Identify This?

This is a strange find.  I'm hoping one of you guys could help me identify it.  Came out of the Nueces River. 5 miles West of Uvalde, Tx.

Interesting find. :) It does, however, look like a concretion to me and not a fossil. Let's see what others say...

I agree with a concretion, but there does seem to be some quartzite there also.

Can You post a picture of the other sides and top and bottom?

It looks like a concretion to me also, maybe some sort of nodule. Although you may not want to break it in case am wrong, nodules sometimes have a surprise fossil inside.

Looks like a silica-rich concretion/nodule, with many tiny conchoidal fractures all around the outer layer.
