Northern Sharks
It must have been stinkin' hot down in the pit. I'll take a pass on days like that. Nice edrio but you're missing a few letters. It's an Isorophusella 2 There's no limit to what you can accomplish when you're supposed to be doing something else
Shamalama
Sweet find! Hope you got some other goodies too. -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. Fossil Claw
Malcom Thornley @Malcolmtwas nice enough to host Kim Cox @ImmaGrouch and I this past weekend at the JD quarry in Ontario Canada. We arrived at about 7:40 and left around 4:30 on Saturday. On Sunday Kim and I went back and hunted from about 7:30 to about 12:30. It was in the high 80's to 90 degrees up top and 15 to 20 degrees hotter down in the Quarry. Saturday was hard work collecting. Digging and splitting rock. Sunday we did mostly surface collecting. Here are some photos of the Quarry.

Malcolmt
That pair of gigas (2 1/2) actually) will be a tough prep very thin skinned. If they were an easy prep I may very well not have given them to you (lol). Was a very good day hunting with good people. I came away with 4 pleurocystites and a somewhat rare amphilichas cephalon. It certainly was a hot day down in the pit. I suspect it was well over 95.....

If they look good that way I might not even try to prep them. OR wait a year or so for when I have a better feel for air abrasion. Depends on how brave I feel once I get a dust collector hooked up. It was close to 90 degree up top and felt 15 or more degrees hotter down in the pit so I would agree that it had to be over 95..Definately the hottest two days of hunting I have have done.
