Looks a bit like a modern cow humerus. take a flame to it, if it smells like burnt hair then I am correct. If it does not smell, then it is a fossil.

Cow is a recent addition to the Americas, and not found as fossils here. The only American relatives are the musk ox and bison.

Musk ox are a cold environment species so not likely to be found as far south as Nebraska.

This leaves the most likely suspect as bison.
