Hello TFF,

I was scanning through a really popular shopping website and for auction, 3 t rex teeth were for sale. They are not in the most perfect or beautiful condition but hopefully and at the moment, they are around my budget. I just wanted to make sure that they are actual t rex teeth not nanotyrannus as it can be sometimes confusing. Would really like to ask for your opinions. The photos may be a bit blurry and unfortunately, these are the only ones available. BTW, The largest tooth was found in two and had to be glued together. The rest were found as one piece. Thanks guys! :):)

@Troodon can help if he is around.

I would say they look good to me, and I have also purchased from these sellers!

My package got lost and they went above and beyond to help me get a new specimen.

Agreed Rex.  I wish they would post an image of the base of these teeth but rarely do which would help confirm ID's.  The pre-max is definitely rex.  The fifth image of the center tooth I think shows a pretty wide base that also would lean me toward rex.  The profile, width, of the big tooth looks rexish.

@FossilDudeCO  be very careful of the ID's from these type of sellers their ID hit rate is not good,  not intentional just uninformed.  Most are very good folks.

Well, it looks like rex to me also. But does the seller say where it was found? Usually trex teeth are found in Hell Creek. There could be a chance one could be found anywhere else, but almost always Hell Creek. For other places, its more likely to be Gorogosaurus, Albertosaurus, or Daspletosaurus.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

The sellers channel deposit, where they collect, is in the Hell Creek of southeastern Montana

I am leaning towards Rex for all of them.

You picked the right seller. In terms of quality to pricing, this one is probably one of the best you could find off eBay.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

Hey guys. Thanks for your input. :) The quality isn't the best here but they are quite cheap and are a bargain. Fingers crossed I do win the Auction ( if it doesnt go over budget). :):)

Hey

guys, sorry but I found this other tooth from the same seller . It is being sold as Juvenile T rex. Would you know if this is a T rex or a Nanotyrannus labelled as Juvenile T rex? This tooth has a photo of the root. Thanks :)

The pre-max is an excellent tooth.  The center tooth just has a few root etchings and some enamel  loss at the base so all in all not bad.
